The Senior Manager, Software Technologies is responsible for ensuring the successful planning, design and completion of the software development activities, supporting the development and maintenance of new products, operational tools, and product lifecycle changes. The position is responsible for managing a local team of development mangers and software engineers, to ensure that projects are executed with high quality, on time and on budget.
Responsible for the following activities:
* Motivate, mentor, and develop a team of software development managers and engineers.
* Provide accurate scoping and estimation of development efforts for projects based on product requirements and a solid grasp of the relevant technologies.
* Perform resource allocation of development resources to staff projects appropriately.
* Collaborate with Analysts, Core Team Leaders, Software Engineers and Project Managers to fully define and generate innovative new product
* Ensure that projects are developed in accordance to regulator standards and departmental SOPs
* Lead the development and implementation of new systems and features within existing systems based on functional requirements, use cases, and screen designs..
* Build strong relationships with departmental leaders throughout the company, and contribute to leadership discussions.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
B.S. Engineering, Computer Science, Biological Science, Business or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
* Minimum of 10 years experience in software product development, 5+ in a management/leadership capacity, with demonstrated ability to deliver high quality products on time.
* 5+ years experience developing software compliant with ISO 13485 or 21CFR Part 820.
* 3+ years managing agile development (release planning, user story development, use of CI).
* Experience implementing software development life cycle process improvements
* Strong understanding of software modeling techniques and a solid background in design patterns.
* Experience in financial planning and budgeting processes.
* Experience coordinating with development teams outside the US.
* Must exhibit good interpersonal with excellent verbal and written communication skills
