within the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process to develop and maintain the CMO master schedule and elevates risks/issues to leadership via the S&OP process. The Master Scheduler must be able to build and maintain strong partnerships with Contract Manufacturing
Organizations, Manufacturing Collaborations Personnel, External
Quality, other sites' quality and manufacturing personnel, Global
Procurement and Global Supply Chain to ensure good customer service and maintain good coordination of demand and supply.
Scope of work -
* Responsible for the creation and continuous update of the CMO Master Production Schedule to satisfy Global Supply Chain demand and site priorities (e.g. contractual requirements, shut-downs), which maintains schedule stability in terms of material and capacity requirements based on planning and demand time fences
* Maintain and report production planning assumptions, as well as performance to master production schedule
* Perform 'what if' scenario analyses to support Site & Global
priorities (i.e. CMO operational capabilities and GT network decisions)
* Establish and maintain production and non-production priorities via leading or participating in Operation Team meetings
* Leverage relationships with Manufacturing, QA and QC to manage Lead Time for released bulk product to meet production plan requirements
* Implement and improve business processes as they relate to
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Master Scheduling.
* Develop weekly or monthly reports to communicate master production schedule performance
* Communicate and maintain 3 Year Site Plan to MC Site Leadership
* Collaborate with Finance to incorporate costing as a primary element into optimizing the production planning process
* Represent Site on strategic planning initiatives and Sales &
Operations Planning related-meetings / forums (i.e. pre-S&OP, Supply Planning)
* Lead weekly master scheduling meeting, to review plant performance to weekly metrics and prioritize operations to achieve master production plan and site initiatives.
Requirements
* BA/BS degree or higher in Business, Industrial / systems engineering or related discipline
* 5+ years of work experience (3+ years experience with
MBA/MS degree) in manufacturing with operations scheduling, production planning or master scheduling
* Demonstrated leadership experience in a changing environment with ability to maintain focus on strategic organization goals
* Ability to communicate, influence and lead both with and without authority across all levels of the organization
* Experience using ERP systems such as BPCS, ORACLE, or SAP (MPS/MRP/CRP experience and use)
* Database management and excellent organizational skills
* Ability to lead and facilitate effective informal and formal teams to develop robust solutions to supply / demand constraints
* Knowledge and application of production efficiency methodologies (5S, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and/or Theory of Constraints)
* Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, Access, BRIO, Business Objects, or Business Warehouse
Preferences
* Experience in GMP production environment
* APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
* Experience with contract manufacturing and procurement processes
