Senior Corporate Counsel/Corporate Counsel

The Corporate Counsel will provide legal advice and support to
Genentech's commercial organization, including brand sales and
marketing teams, sales support, and other commercial support
functions. Will provide advice, education, training and legal
direction on FDA labelling and promotional matters, healthcare fraud and abuse laws, product liability, antitrust, managed-care pricing and contracting, privacy and other laws impacting the commercialization of biotech products. Responsible for
assisting the commercial organization in structuring contracts and activities in compliance with applicable law.

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience advising pharmaceutical or biotech companies in the
commercial or clinical areas. Prefer individual with experience
advising and supporting mid to senior level managers in the
pharmaceutical or biotech area. Individual must be a team player, must be self-motivated, must be able to demonstrate a history of successfully resolving challenging legal issues and must be able to effectively deliver sound and clear legal advice in a business setting. Excellent oral and written communications skills are required.

EDUCATION:

The successful candidate will have a JD degree and 5+ years
(corporate counsel) or 7+ years (senior corporate counsel) of legal experience, either in a law firm or corporate in-house setting, or a combination of the two.
