Assistant or Associate Professor of Physiology and Biophysics The Department of Physiology and Biophysics of the College of Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago invites applications for a tenure track faculty position in the area of endocrinology and metabolism. We seek candidates with a strong background in laboratory-based research in the field of metabolism, especially in connection with reproductive biology, mechanisms of hormone action and/or endocrine oncology. Candidates must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D., postdoctoral experience, a strong publication record, and potential for extramural funding at the Assistant Professor level and significant current extramural funding at the Associate Professor level. The successful candidate will be expected to establish and maintain an extramurally funded research program, and participate in teaching at the graduate and professional health science levels. Strengths of the department include molecular, cellular, and systems physiology with emphasis in cardiovascular, muscle, reproductive and endocrine science and in neuroscience.
