XiangXue Pharmaceutical Co is a dynamic pharmaceutical company, and headquarters its offices in Guangzhou China. A new branch of XiangXue Biologics has been set up for developing protein therapeutics. This new R&D establishment is built on advanced research development of biologics. New laboratories have been setup with state-of-the-art facilities for molecular biology, protein biochemistry, cellular immunology and other biology-related researches. As a public company, we have strong manufactory, business and medical-regulatory teams and excellent foundation in Chinese markets. In order to build world-class research teams, XiangXue Biologics is seeking to recruit two department heads and several principal/senior scientists in Protein Engineering and Cellular Immunology.
Head of Protein Engineering/Head of Immunology
Both positions need highly respected scientists with significant first-hand experience and deep understanding of protein engineering or cellular immunology respectively, and also familiar with directed evolution and/or therapeutic antibody/protein discovery technologies. For a strong candidate you should also meet most of following conditions:

Senior/Principal Research Scientists in Protein Engineering or Cellular Immunology
We are also seeking highly motivated scientists to become part of the teams. The Research Scientist will design, execute, and analyze data for research projects which is conducted within their areas. Research Scientists play a critical role in providing technical expertise and scientific leadership to a team focused on the identification and/or optimization of novel biologics.

Responsibilities:
Plan and execute relevant projects.
Provide direction to the platform on implementation of the objectives and resource allocation.
Interact regularly with various groups on progress and needs.
Build competencies for growth of the project.
Apply comprehensive scientific principles and theories to drive forward research and development programs.
Contribute to scientific journals, conferences, etc.
Make sound decisions based on analyzed data to support recommendations for down-stream development decisions.
Promote excellent problem solving skills
Requirements for Protein Engineering
Essential: a PhD, with a minimum of 3 years' postgraduate experience and proven track record of research in protein engineering, structural or molecular biology.
Desirable: familiarity with protein expression and purification; experience of cloning, site-directed mutagenesis and DNA library construction; hands-on experience of directed molecular evolution technologies is desirable but in-house training can be provided.
Requirements for Cellular Immunology/Biology
Essential: a PhD in immunology, cellular biology or biochemistry, with a minimum of 3 years' postgraduate experience and proven track record of research in a related discipline.
Desirable: familiarity with mammalian cell culture. Experience of the following would be an advantage: T and B cell isolation and culture, ELISA, Elispot assays, CTL killing assays, flow cytometry, cell sorting and cell imaging techniques.
