JOB DESCRIPTION: Our research group is sequencing the DNA of over 2000 apple cultivars and will use these data to unravel the history of the apple. We are also collecting extensive phenotype data from one of the most diverse apple orchards in the world, our Apple Biodiversity Collection (ABC), which we will use together with the DNA sequence data to identify genotype-phenotype relationships. We are seeking a postdoc to lead this project. Salary will be commensurate with skill and experience.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: PhD in Genetics or related field and computer programming skills (e.g. Python, Perl, C, Java, R). An ability to perform basic population genetic analyses and a background in genetic mapping are highly desirable.
