NIH funded research associate/postdoctoral position is immediately available for highly motivated individuals seeking to build a career in Cancer biology. The candidate should have a PhD in the area of cancer biology. The lab is interested in basic mechanistic and translational research focusing on the transcription factor, Nrf2 as a therapeutic target in cancer. Previous work from the lab has demonstrated that this transcription factor promotes tumor growth and confers resistance against cytotoxic chemotherapy and radiotherapy. This project seeks to understand the interaction of Nrf2-Keap1 pathway with other oncogenic signaling networks in tumor cells and develop novel approaches to target Nrf2-Keap1 axis in cancer.
