Job Description top

The Boston University Laboratory of Quantitative Systems Immunology in the Department of Microbiology seeks a postdoctoral fellow to work on large multi-laboratory research projects that involve the generation and integration of diverse sources of experimental data as well as the development and application of novel computational models and methods.

The primary goal of these projects is the improvement of vaccines and the elucidation, at the systems level, of the processes that lead to protective immunity.

The person who fills this position will have expertise in computational biology, preferably at the systems level, with a PhD in a relevant quantitative discipline, such as computational biology, bioinformatics, statistics, mathematics, physics, etc. This person will also have very strong programming skills using C# (or using C/C++ and willing to become proficient in C#) and be excited by the opportunity to learn immunology.

Knowledge of immunology would be a significant advantage, but is not required.

For this position, the successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English.

Please send a letter describing your research interests and expertise, along with a curriculum vitae in PDF via email, to Tom Kepler (tbkepler@bu.edu">tbkepler@bu.edu).
