ASSISTANT OR ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR FACULTY APPOINTMENT OPPORTUNITY HUFFINGTON CENTER ON AGING BAYLOR COLLEGE OF MEDICINE
The Huffington Center on Aging at Baylor College of Medicine invites applications for a faculty position at the level of tenure-track assistant professor or associate professor with tenure and an endowed professorship. Applicants should have an M. D. and/or Ph.D. degree with an outstanding publication record. Individuals conducting basic or translational research in all areas of aging using model organisms will be considered; although, research using systems approach and directed at understanding the impact of aging in disease pathogenesis are of special interest. A generous start up package will be offered and the successful candidate is expected to direct an independent, extramurally funded, research program and participate in graduate student and postdoctoral training. The candidate will join a highly interactive faculty team engaged in multiple aging research projects (http://www.bcm.edu/hcoa/), and benefit from an enormous breadth and depth of scientific expertise at Baylor College of Medicine and in the Texas Medical Center.
