The Bowdoin College Biology Department seeks applicants for a one-year, visiting faculty position in marine biology, beginning fall 2012. Applicants with Ph.D. completed by August 2012 are preferred. The successful candidate will teach a core course in marine biology with associated laboratory during the fall semester, then teach both an advanced seminar course and a non-majors course during the spring semester. The seminar and non-majors courses will be in the candidate's area of expertise. The candidate will also mentor undergraduate research projects in marine biology.
