CHEMISTRY DEPARTMENT HEAD: University of Louisiana Lafayette's Ray P. Authement College of Sciences seeks an outstanding candidate with scientific accomplishments, knowledge of an ACS-approved program, as well as leadership qualities required to head the Chemistry department. The Department Chair will be responsible for coordinating with other programs and departments the development of interdisciplinary research teams for the purpose of enhancing research productivity and external funding. Our vision for the new Chair includes enhancing the department's role in the natural sciences at all levels, improving research and education, and providing strategic positioning for new faculty appointments, and moving the department toward the establishment of a M.S. program. Limited teaching is expected.
