Western University of Health Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking candidates for a tenure-track or tenured Assistant or Associate Professor in research related to on the following fields of interest:

• Stem cell biology and/or immunology, banking techniques, regenerative medicine in humans or animals, and other areas of translational stem cell research directed to improving the health of humans and/or animals.
• Infectious diseases or food safety

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: The successful applicant will have a Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Biology or a related discipline. For applicants at the Assistant Professor level, relevant postdoctoral experience and demonstrated potential for excellence in research will be required. Applications at the Associate Professor level will require all of the above plus a well-established research program with a record of extramural funding.

RESPONSIBILITIES: This position will include a primary appointment in Western University of Health Sciences College of Veterinary Medicine, with the option to hold an adjunct position at Western University Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and/or at California State Polytechnic University at Pomona. The successful applicant will be expected to maintain an active, externally funded research program (70%) and to participate in academic (20%), and service activities (10%) of the College of Veterinary Medicine. This position offers ample opportunities for inter-professional collaborations.
