Chemical Engineer - Fermentation Scientist



This individual will lead a team engaged in pilot studies in the laboratory and prepare these processes for field applications. This position requires a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Microbiology, or related field and experience optimizing fermentation processes. Expertise with the cultivation of anaerobes and the operation of bioreactors and fermenters on a small to medium size scale is essential. Familiarity with molecular biology techniques is desirable. This individual must have a proven track record as an outstanding scientist evidenced by a strong publication record. The candidate must also be highly organized and able to synergize with other team members to achieve project objectives and timelines. The candidate must possess excellent written communication skills including development of protocols, reports for corporate partners and manuscripts for publication.
