Requirements: Ph.D. in Bioinformatics or a related field such as: biological sciences, statistics, computer sciences, mathematics, or physical sciences. A minimum of three years of bioinformatics experience, including thesis work, post-doctoral, and/or professional experience.
Principle Duties: Will work with Center scientists to identify the needs for analysis of laboratory experiments and provide optimal computational solutions that address biological or chemical processes to convert biomass into energy products. Extract, process, and analyze various types of large-scale biological data. Provide value-added annotation to public and private data sets for development of in-house data repositories. Function as an internal consultant to GLBRC scientists assisting them in custom data analysis. Please see a complete listing of duties on the URL.
