The Stem Cell Transplantation Program in the Division of Hematology/Oncology at Childrens Hospital Boston and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute seeks to hire three new faculty members committed to translational research in stem cell biology and transplantation medicine. Applications will be considered for academic appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School. Available positions include:
(1) Full time clinician-investigator: successful candidates will be dedicated to an innovative program of clinical investigation related to hematopoietic transplantation for malignant or genetic hematologic conditions. Qualifications must include board eligibility or certification in pediatric hematology/oncology or adult hematology and/or oncology, with expertise in hematopoietic transplantation and a proven record of academic contributions to the transplant literature.
(2) Translational clinician-scientist: candidates will pursue a laboratory-based research program relevant to stem cell biology, gene therapy and transplantation. Priority will be given to translational projects and to physician-scientists with an interest in attending on the stem cell transplantation service.
(3) Stem cell biologist: candidates will pursue a laboratory-based research program aimed at illuminating fundamental aspects of stem cell biology, either hematopoietic or non-hematopoietic. Candidates will have a joint appointment in the new Department of Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology of the Harvard Medical School/ Harvard University Faculty of Arts and Sciences.
The new faculty will become members of the Stem Cell Program and the Division of Hematology/Oncology at Childrens Hospital Boston and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and affiliated faculty of the Harvard Stem Cell Institute.
