FACULTY POSITIONS IN PHARMACOLOGY
Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Pharmacy
Applications are invited for several tenure-track faculty positions at the ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE/FULL PROFESSOR rank in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. We are seeking colleagues with research interests complementary to those of present faculty who are active in research on novel drug targets and drug delivery methods for vascular and inflammatory diseases. Current projects include drug targeting to vascular endothelium at the blood-brain barrier, ischemia-reperfusion injury of brain and liver, and development of antihypertensive drugs. A Center for Vascular Drug Research has recently been formed at the School of Pharmacy to serve as a nucleus for faculty collaboration. The Department comprises 22 full-time faculty with about 40 graduate students. Growth over the next four years is expected to take the Department to 30 faculty. A new 48,000 sq. ft. research facility has just been completed to supplement the greater than 100,000 sq. ft. main facility adjacent to the Amarillo campus of the TTUHSC School of Medicine. Amarillo is a town of about 200,000 on the high plains of Texas with excellent opportunities for cultural activities, family life, and outdoor sports.
