A post-doctoral position is available immediately at the State University of NY, Downstate Medical Center Campus, Brooklyn, NY, to study cell cycle control in normal and cancer cells. Our laboratory focuses on the roles of cyclin D-cdk4, cyclin D-cdk6 and p27Kip1 in cell cycle transitions and cancer development.
Highly motivated candidates with 1) recent Ph.D. awarded, within the past 2 years; 2) strong background in molecular/cell biology and biochemistry; 3) a publication record in international, peer reviewed journals, and 4) good communication skills are encouraged to apply. Prior experience in cell cycle biology or immunology is desirable, but not required.
