Assistant Professor Joint appointment in Forensic Science and Biology
Nebraska Wesleyan University invites applications for an assistant professor to teach in an established graduate program in forensic science and an undergraduate program in biology. This is a nine month, tenure-track position, starting August, 2010.
The successful candidate will teach courses in the forensic science biology-chemistry track, including some subset of courses among the following: Introduction to Forensic Science, Forensic Biology, Internship, Forensic DNA, and/ or Analytical Sciences as a Basis for Forensic Investigation. In biology, the successful candidate will teach courses according to their area of expertise. In addition, the successful candidate will serve on college and university committees, advise students, and contribute to student research projects.
An earned or nearly completed Ph.D. in Biology, Forensic Science, or a natural science or related field is required. Prior undergraduate and graduate-level teaching and experience in a forensic laboratory are desirable.
