The Graduate Center for Nutritional Sciences (GCNS) at the University of Kentucky invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor in anticipation of a competitive New Faculty Recruitment (P30) award from the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute as part of the American Recovery and Restoration Act (ARRA). We seek a researcher interested in fetal programming as a mechanism promoting obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease. The successful candidate will be expected to establish an independent, extramurally funded research program and contribute to educational operations of the GCNS in medical and graduate programs. The Graduate Center for Nutritional Sciences is a rapidly expanding multidisciplinary department within the College of Medicine localized in state of the art research facilities. Minimum requirements for the position include a Ph.D. in a closely related field and postdoctoral experience. Given that the ARRA P30 is a fast-tracked faculty recruitment mechanism, consideration of applications will commence immediately and continue until the position is filled. Interested applicants should send a curriculum vita, a two page statement of research interests, and the names and addresses of three references (preferably in pdf format) to:
