Molecular Immunologist
The Department of Biology invites applications for a faculty position in the area of molecular immunology, with a focus on mast cell biology. Primary responsibilities will include assisting in the direction of research projects and pursuing funding opportunities. This is a twelve-month, non-tenure-track position at the rank of Research Assistant Professor. Anticipated start date is March 16, 2009, contingent upon funding. A minimum of two years postdoctoral experience at an American institution is required. Evidence of publishing, funding, and excellent communication skills is expected.
The successful applicant will work under the direction of John Ryan, Ph.D. The laboratory focuses on cytokine and immunoglobulin receptor signaling in mast cells, with an emphasis on immune homeostasis.
